The magic of a birth experienced in marital intimacy

Breaking the silence to dare to show an unassisted birth

When we were expecting our ninth child, we looked for DVDs of birth stories to help us experience the birth of our next baby even better. In particular, we bought DVDs from the American website « Orgasmic Birth ». We then realized that there were no DVDs showing a typical natural birth step by step.

We realized that it was up to us to make such a DVD. Our audio-visual testimony could be useful to future parents, as it’s true that understanding what’s going to happen during childbirth can reduce fears and apprehensions as the big day approaches.

So we organized ourselves to film the arrival of this ninth child, in order to produce a demonstrative video, rich in the experience we’ve gained in welcoming a child gently and peacefully.
To avoid all kinds of problems, we’ve always been extremely discreet about our deliberate choice to welcome our babies into the heart of our conjugal intimacy. As a rule, we hardly spoke to anyone about it, keeping our mouths shut before and even after the birth. Sometimes we even had to resort to lying, letting certain people believe that the child was going to be born or had been born in a hospital. However, we realized that the time had come for us to break the silence and share our experience by showing our way of experiencing birth naturally and peacefully. Our DVD proves with authentic images that a couple is capable of taking full responsibility for the birth of their child in a truly conscious way.

We wanted to lift the veil on this wonderful but too little-known, often taboo and dreaded moment – the birth of a child – in order to enlighten future parents in their birth plans, and in their choice of delivery methods for the mother-to-be.

We have given this testimony at the heart of our intimate relationship, because we are convinced that children who are better respected at birth will be more fulfilled and respectful of life in the future, and will thus be able to contribute to building a more harmonious society.
