A baby fully respected at birth arrives sleeping

A positive imprint anchored in the newborn’s subconscious

The popular belief that a newborn must cry at birth is simply wrong. One need only observe the birth of other mammals in nature to be convinced of this. Crying is a sign of suffering, distress, and trauma. The way a baby is born is imprinted in their subconscious forever.

It has been discovered that, in principle, if not disturbed, the fetus sleeps during the uterine contractions that precede delivery. We have found that children who are fully respected at birth usually arrive asleep. This was the case for nine of our eleven babies. They were fast asleep and remained asleep for several minutes or tens of minutes after birth.

Upon arrival in our world, the child is reassured when their body is held in the fetal position, curled up against their mother’s skin. If not awakened, they continue to sleep, up to twenty minutes after birth in the longest case we have observed. Then they wake up quietly, gently, without crying or screaming, but simply with curiosity and amazement at having changed universes so quickly. When they wake up, the child is happy to be able to stretch their limbs, which were cramped in the womb at the end of pregnancy. For the first time in their life, the newborn opens their eyes, which are very sensitive to light, to discover the new world around them.

It is a fabulous and magical moment, for them, for us, and for their brothers and sisters who came to meet their future playmate. The baby recognizes the familiar sounds they heard during pregnancy, especially their mother’s voice and that of loved ones. This serene atmosphere, in which they arrive and wake up, immediately places them in a precious and irreplaceable climate of trust.

When Truly Respected, the Child Feels Fully Welcomed

This builds in their unconscious a deep inner peace and a real confidence in themselves and in life forever.

When arriving in a peaceful environment, the newborn imprints in their subconscious the impression that our world is a favorable and welcoming place, filled with love, kindness, and gentleness. At this moment of great vulnerability, when they feel so fragile and at the mercy of their environment, they anchor within themselves a positive memory that initializes their cellular memory in a beneficial way.

Thus, when fully respected at the moment of birth, the newborn builds within themselves a real confidence in themselves and in life that will help them move forward for the rest of their existence, from childhood to adulthood.
